Trainings & Workshops

For many businesses and organizations an in-service training could be the best answer for educating staff and management on how to meet the needs of transgender individuals with whom they work with. I have conducted trainings at non-profit agencies, health care facilities, universities, and hospitals. I can work with you to create the training to fit the specific needs of your group or organization. I have also given several workshops at national conferences.

Trainings can be conducted either in person (if travel costs are covered) or there is the option of creating web-based seminars via the internet. I have also given several workshops at national conferences, including the Gender Identity Center’s Colorado Gold Rush in 2012, 2013, and 2014.

Let’s Talk: Contact Dara

Dara, the students (and I) were ecstatic over your presentation last evening. They could not stop talking about you the rest of the evening. What an incredible experience for them to have the opportunity to be in the presence of someone who truly is a living manifestation of what is means to touch peoples’ lives in the most loving and helpful way possible. – Dr. Terry Jones, U. of Phoenix

Speaking and Guest Lecturing

I am available to attend an event, class, or as a guest speaker, keynote speaker, or guest lecturer. I can speak to a wide variety of topics in regards to the transgender issues, as well as my personal experience in working with this population.

Although there may be instances where I will need to charge a fee for this service, more often than not this is a service I enjoying offering at no charge (within Colorado Springs). If for an out-of-town event, my usual fees and travel costs will apply.
